When Women Unite, Community Impact Follows.

Impact100 Los Angeles unites women to fund transformational grants, driving lasting community impact for nonprofits tackling our toughest challenges. By pooling our resources, we award $100,000 grants that create real community impact.

Our Story

The story of Impact100 Los Angeles began with a simple but powerful idea, taking root in June 2026 in the heart and mind of Founding President Constance Nixon. Her inspiration was close to home — her cousin, Claire Bakx, served on the Impact100 board in Atlanta, and Constance had watched with astonishment as this model transformed lives and organizations there in such a short amount of time. Seeing that impact firsthand, she knew Los Angeles deserved the same opportunity. She saw a city full of women eager to give back — women with generosity, passion, and purpose — and she envisioned bringing them together to do something extraordinary for Los Angeles.

Her goal was clear: to gather like-minded women who could pool their collective strength and make a truly transformational difference in the trajectory of a single nonprofit. She wanted Los Angeles to witness firsthand what happens when women unite around a shared purpose — how that unity has the power to change not just an organization's future, but an entire community's.

More than anything, Constance wanted to invite women into something meaningful: a chance to be part of the movement reshaping the nonprofit landscape in Los Angeles, one collective act of generosity at a time.

Founding Chapter

In 2001, Wendy Steele had a vision that would go on to change philanthropy, first in Cincinnati, OH, and eventually around the world. She saw women who wanted to give back in a meaningful way, but who didn't always see themselves reflected in traditional philanthropic spaces. She believed that needed to change. Out of that belief, the Impact100 model was born.

At its heart, Impact100 is about empowerment. It invites women to claim their identity as philanthropists, breaking down the barriers that have too often stood in their way. And it does this through a beautifully simple idea: by pooling their resources together, women can create transformational grants of $100,000 or more, making a real and lasting difference in local communities everywhere.

Simple in concept, yet profound in impact — a movement that started with one woman's vision and grew into a global force for good.
